Previously, WINNER's Nam Tae Hyun tested out his acting chops through drama 'Late-Night Restaurant' but to little success as a controversy brewed after netizens criticized his 'foot acting' in the drama. �During the press conference for the drama on August 26, fellow actor Kim Seung Woo talked about this.
He was asked, "When Nam Tae Hyun's acting controversy came out, how did you feel?" and replied, "I did not feel discomfort from the viewpoint of someone who worked with him. I did feel for sure that there was something lacking in the functional aspect [of his acting], but I feel like he received excessive criticism."

He added, "I think it was like that because he got the opportunity to act from being an idol so there was jealousy and envy. �That acting was not prepared haphazardly by Nam Tae Hyun, so I found it admirable that he put in effort to express that feeling," suggesting the idol had worked hard to prepare for that scene.
"When the controversy brewed after the first broadcast, I thought it was such a shame," continued Kim Seung Woo. �"I feel it is a process he needs to go through in order to become a bigger actor."
