There's a new action movie coming into town - Jun Ji Hyun and Lee Jung Jae's film 'Assassination', which is sure to be a box-office hit! Regarding the challenges of taking on the role in the film, Lee Jung Jae shared the work he put into get into character.
At an interview with Star News on July 14, he said, "My last production was the film 'Big Match' and there's a big difference between my role in that and with my character Yeom Suk Jin in 'Assassination'. I was 78 kg (about 172 pounds) before and I lost weight till I was 63 kg (about 139 pounds). It's the same weight I was in middle school."
In the film 'Assassination' he'll play the same character in his 20s until his 60s.
He shared that it was a bit burdensome to play a character 20 years younger and older than his actual age for he is actually 40, and the reason he had to lose so much weight was to look the part of a man in his 60s.

The film is about an assassination plot to take out a pro-Japanese group back in the 1930s. The film will be in theaters on July 22!
