Actor Lee Byung Hun had his first official schedule in Korea after his controversy surrounding himself, GLAM's Dahee, and model Lee Ji Yeon last year.
He had apologized to the public a few months ago when he came back to Korea after wrapping up his schedules in the U.S., but he once again conveyed his remorseful heart at the press conference for his new film.
Before the event officially began for his film 'Memories of the Sword' at Lotte Cinemas on July 24, he stepped up to make an apology.
Lee Byung Hun began by saying, "I want to apologize to everyone. Even as I was filming in the U.S., I worried everyday wondering 'what should I say' to you all here."
He continued, "It's my responsibility to apologize to the many staff and interested parties who have worked on this film. It's also my responsibility to cope with any criticism. I only hope that their efforts will not go unnoticed due to me."
"The reason why I was able to live as actor Lee Byung Hun was because of the interest I received from all of you. As I was spending time repenting after bringing you big disappointment, I was able to feel down to my bones the importance and preciousness of that."
He concluded, "I know very well that several apologies or however much time will never make up for the huge disappointment. I will always have an apologetic heart and won't forget. I will do my best to try to make up for the pain and disappointment that I have given to many people. I apologize once again and thank you."
What do you think of his apology?
