During an interview on July 10, he joked, "I'm in charge of red in BTOB. Call me 'The Red' from now on."
Sungjae added that there were so many comments about Minhyuk right after the incident, with some saying Minhyuk made magic or that a flower bloomed. Others gave him witty nicknames like 'The national flag of Korea' and 'a new patriotic idol' due to the red and blue colors, which are usually associated with the national flag.
Minhyuk said, "Yesterday, throughout the day, my SNS followers increased a lot, and some posts even had 10,000 retweets."
He said with a laugh, "I was embarrassed but people enjoyed it and there are people who came to know about BTOB because of it. If people like it, I am willing to make sacrifices."
Sungjae added, "My father once said, 'One moment of embarrassment is an eternal gain'. We can not only provide healing for people through our song, we can also make people happy with what they see."
