Student gets beat up over chicken

According to a recent police report from the Gyeongsan Police Department, a group of college students locked and abused a fellow classmate in their university dormitory for three days. Their reason? Because he refused to pay for some chicken. 

The victim, called Mr. Kim (20), stated that they kept him locked up, forbade him from using the bathroom, prevented him from sleeping, and beat him with their fists and clothes hangers for three days. He recounted one shocking incident in particular, saying, "They gagged me with a wet towel and taped me from my head to my toes to force me into a kneeling position, hitting my thighs with a clothes hanger."

The police eventually discovered that Kim's debit card was used for approximately 100,000 KRW (~ $90 USD).

The victim was admitted to the hospital for his injuries. The police are currently looking into additional legal actions as well as investigating five men, including a Mr. Hwang (20).
