Soccer player's sweet wedding proposal at Women's World Cup leaves netizens jealous

On June 13, defender Hwang Bo-Ram of the Korean women's national soccer team helped her team tie 2:2 in a game against Costa Rica. After the great game in Montreal, Hwang was in for a big surprise: a marriage proposal from her boyfriend! Three people held up adorable handwritten signs that read, "Boram, will you marry me?"

An SNS update from Hwang after the proposal was hashtagged "propose," "I love you," and "Also I am sorry" in sweet loving messages to her boyfriend, who had traveled all the way to Canada with her to watch her play. Along with a photo of the proposal, she uploaded a photo of her walking across the field in bright, cheery balloons. The Korean Football Association even responded with a tweet that called it "a movie-like romance." 

Netizens responded with comments such as "I'm jealous of her proposal," "I'm so excited from her proposal," and "The proposal is so sweet."
