KBS, known to be most strict broadcast station, is at it again. The latest three songs judged as unfit for broadcast are AOA's new track "Chocolate", Seventeen's "Ah Yeah", and Verbal Jint and Sanchez' "Don't Like It".
AOA's track "Chocolate" from their upcoming album has been banned because of its coarse language in the lyrics. Once the album comes out, we'll have to see for ourselves if the language in the lyrics really is that bad, or if KBS is being overly strict.
Meanwhile, Seventeen's and Verbal Jint and San E's new songs have been deemed unfit due to the mention of a specific brand product name.
AOA's company FNC Entertainment responded by telling Star News, "After checking and revising the corresponding lyrics, we are planning to ask KBS for a re-trial. It isn't the title track so there is no problem in broadcast promotions either way."
Seventeen's company Pledis Entertainment remarked, "Since that song is not a song they are promoting on broadcast, there are no plans to ask for a re-evaluation. At their debut showcase on a cable channel, we temporarily changed the lyrics."
