Jang Jae In featured as a guest on a recent episode of 'Sketchbook' to talk more about her new album 'LIQUID' and being diagnosed with dystonia.
The singer related, "My condition has gotten worse. While recovering, I organized my thoughts," and explained, "[Dystonia] symptoms involved paralysis [of my muscles] starting from my left hand. I have to take good care of myself." Jang Jae In went on to reveal that she bravely "quit the guitar," and said, "I can say it more easily now but I didn't know what to do at the time. It really hit me that I'm different from others."
Jang Jae In also detailed the concept behind her new album, as the conversation steered itself to the talk of relationships. When Yoo Hee Yeol mused, "I knew there was something strange about this album; the track list is gives off a weird vibe. One song is called, "You're a Man Who's Easy to Figure Out," and questioned, "Just who did you meet (who are you talking about?)" Jang Jae In mysteriously answered, "I wonder...who I met?" Then Yoo Hee Yeol went on to ask about the song "Climax," which got the audience up in a tizzy. The host wrapped up the conversation nicely with, "It's the overjoyed feeling you get when you meet someone [that you like]. I was talking about that! You know, the happiness of love." Giggling sheepishly Jang Jae In chimed back, "Of course, that's the feeling I was trying to convey."
The interview concluded with Jang Jae in confessing that Yoon Jong Shin gave her a lot of support during her darkest hour and stating, "Being on 'Sketchbook, it feels like I'm starting anew."
