Onew recently talked on both MBC radio program 'Blue Night' and during the press conference for 'SHINee World IV in Seoul'. On the radio show, DJ and fellow member Jonghyun asked him, "How was it when you had surgery because the condition of your vocal cords was not good? You were unable to talk for a couple months."

Onew replied, "At first, there was nothing I could do. I was mute for about three and a half months, but the members and other people around me gave me a lot of strength, so I became determined. When I started rehabilitation, Kim Yeon Woo gave me a lot of strength and was helpful."

Minho added, "Even when Onew was unable to talk during rehabilitation, his skills were amazing. He would write on his cell phone's memo to pull gags. I never saw someone like that."

During the press conference, SHINee talked about one another's charms and Onew's charm was, according to the members, looking like Min Guk, one of Song Il Kook's triplets known from 'Superman is Back'.  Minho said, "These days, the triplets are popular from the infant care program, and Onew looks like Min Guk. We call Onew Min Guk Onew.

"Honestly, Onew was born first so Min Guk [technically] resembles Onew, but we do the opposite and Onew is like Min Guk.  We hope Onew's charm gets relayed well through these promotions."
