Comedian Lee Kuk Ju had once mentioned that she looked the exact same as when she was a kid because she was completely natural. However with her fame lately, rumors about plastic surgery have been whispered, and the comedian explained why these rumors sprouted up.
On the May 14 episode of KBS' 'Happy Together 3', when the MCs asked her if she knew there were rumors about her getting plastic surgery, Lee Kuk Ju revealed that she knew and explained why she thought these rumors came about.
She said, "A few years ago, I went to a club with some other comedians and I fell down the stairs. I had an overflowing nosebleed."
She continued, "I received surgery for the broken nose at the hospital, and after the surgery, the doctor told me, looking please with himself, 'I raised your nose for you'. My nose has always been long, but while he fixed my broken nose he attached it in a slightly more raised position. Thankful, I went to an event for that hospital later on, and the doctor announced, 'I raised Lee Kuk Ju's nose'. But people's reaction was, 'That's a nose that's been raised?'. Word of that night spread and that's why rumors about me getting plastic surgery came about."
But it looks likes she's not interested in getting any other sort of cosmetic surgery or looking to change her appearance in any way for she added, "My jaw is my insecurity, and a lot of places tell me they'll do jaw cosmetic surgery on me for free. One place even offered me 200 million won (approx. $183,488 U.S.) but I said no. A lot of health trainers also find me a tempting candidate."
