In an interview with Asia Today on May 14, B2ST's Hyunseung talked about his goals for his solo debut as well as how he wanted to break away from the image of B2ST and Trouble Maker.
Hyunseung said, "The priority of this solo album was to show who 'Jang Hyunseung' is. I worked hard so that my solo album would not make people think of B2ST and Trouble Maker. I put in the effort to show a casual side of me rather than a powerful side of me. Instead of nice music, I like what you call 'bad' music, and I put that into this album. I want to be unique and to show myself as an attractive singer even on my own."
He also added that he didn't recruit any female dancers for his solo stage performance to break away from his sexy image in Trouble Maker with 4minute's Hyuna.
When asked why, Hyunseung replied, "I wanted this album to completely break away from B2ST. It has the feel of Cube Entertainment but I wanted to completely take that away. That's why I naturally did not get help from Junhyung. First off, I wanted hiphop and R&B as a base, along with songs that you wouldn't be able to often hear from Cube Entertainment. I didn't want my solo debut to be an extension from B2ST or Trouble Maker. With that in mind, I personally really like my album."
