As some of you may have noticed, the allkpop staff had a bit too much fun with April Fool's yesterday. Seriously, if you had visited the office that day, you would have seen us sprawled across our desks like:
Now that the topsy turvy day has passed, we're here to clear up exactly which of our articles were complete jokes. Take a look and let us know in the comments below--were you fooled?
T.O.P be like: "OMG I would never."
We started off with something small, a fantasy that we knew any V.I.P would want to come true. Most of the pictures from T.O.P's half-naked picture spree were actually photoshopped. The photoshop looked obvious, of course, but that was supposed to make the whole thing even funnier. Because really, when would T.O.P ever promise this. Only in our dreams, right?
Yunho says: "Not funny AKP. >:("
Seeing how sad fans were to see JYJ's Jaejoong enlist in the military and recalling the news that more celebrities were likely to enlist this year--such as Kim Soo Hyun and Lee Seung Gi--we thought it would be funny to prank everyone with news of a mass celebrity draft. My God, can you imagine if 18 beloved male and female celebrities were to actually enlist this year? The flood of fangirl tears would be never-ending.
Man, we wish we could get an exclusive sneak peek at Girls' Generation's upcoming MV! Unfortunately, this was all a joke. Everything about the unicorn and Seohyun chasing sweet potatoes? Totally made up. Considering that these details sounded as if they were made up by someone on a drugged up trip, I'm not surprised that not many of you fell for this one. We did have a huge plate of Korean fried chicken for lunch though. Good stuff.
"I approve."
This was just pure genius that struck us in the middle of the day. Everyone wants to know who their K-Pop soulmate is. Why not trick everyone with a deceptive picture of some idol cuties (ahem, cue BTS), yet surprise them with Yang Hyun Suk in all his trolling glory? It was perfect. I mean, you may not want Yang Hyun Suk as your K-Pop soulmate, but he certainly is everyone's perfect trollmate.
There you have it, our four April Fool's jokes that we played yesterday. What did you guys think? Were you on the floor laughing with us or just less than impressed?
