Although Goo Hye Sun revealed that she had put in much effort to change her image for this drama by trying a different style of speaking and even training herself to blink differently, viewers say the over-exaggerated way she has portrayed her role is actually distracting them from the flow of the drama.
Especially in this week's jam-packed episode, Goo Hye Sun was seen awkwardly walking out the doors in attempts to catch Ahn Jae Hyun, scolding a rookie doctor, getting annoyed at Ahn Jae Hyun, and complaining to her friend. Despite the distinct emotions that each scene required, recent reports have pointed out that Goo Hye Sun's expression and tone of voice were identical.
Viewers also mentioned that her acting was also sub-par even compared to some of her other rookie co-stars, like male lead Ahn Jae Hyun. However, Ahn Jae Hyun's lack of experience was also brought to light as viewers pointed out he mumbled his words and his pronunciation was unclear to the point that it was hard to understand what he was saying. Many said it was the mistake of the producers to give the male lead to an actor with barely an year of experience as he does not seem to possess much presence onscreen.
