Kim Jang Hoon belatedly revealed to have been slapped with a fine for smoking during his flight

According to the Incheon District Prosecutors' Office on the 20th, Kim Jang Hoon was charged with a fine of 1 million KRW (~920 USD) for breaking the Aviation and Transportation Security Act on the 19th. On December 15 at 12:30 PM KST, Kim Jang Hoon took the KE902 flight from Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport,�France to Incheon International Airport, South Korea. During his flight, he was caught smoking in the bathroom which turned on the warning light, notifying the flight attendants.

During the police investigation, Kim Jang Hoon explained, "My recent concert got canceled so I got stressed... I got anxious because of my panic disorder so I smoked." A rep from the prosecution stated, "Considering that it is his first offense, and he apologized right away, saying, 'I'm sorry,' when the flight attendant stopped him, his case will not be sent to an official trial, but he will be issued a summary indictment [fine]."
