FNC clears up misunderstanding surrounding Park Myung Soo's seemingly harsh treatment of Seolhyun in preview for 'Brave Family'

As mentioned before, this new variety show brings together celebrities to form an onscreen family. Park Myung Soo plays the 'uncle' role in the family and he was seen pushing away Seolhyun's head during the preview after she dropped the one egg the 'family' had worked hard to acquire for their meal. 

The preview then goes onto show Seolhyun crying in a room with Minhyuk trying to console her. This led a portion of the audience to believe that Seolhyun had been crying due to Park Myung Soo treating her so harshly and viewers voiced their criticism on the show's homepage community board. However, others insisted that it was probably one of those cases of editing where the show's staff tries to make a situation seem as dramatic as possible to lure in viewers to watch the next episode. 

In response to growing criticism towards Park Myung Soo, Seolhyun's agency stepped up to address the content seen in the preview to clarify that the situation really was not as bad as it was made out to be in the short clip.

The agency said, "Seolhyun participated in the filming and recorded for the show in an enjoyable and happy environment... As it is a variety show and a preview designed to attract viewers, there are some parts that are creating misunderstanding. If you wait and watch the full episode coming up, the viewers will all naturally understand what actually happened. If this was some big problematic situation then of course there would have been some talk going on regarding this after it happened, but it was not the case."

The PD of the program also explained, "At the time of the filming, not only Park Myung Soo and Seolhyun, but the rest of the cast were in a sensitive state. They were having a bit of a tough time as they hadn't been able to eat yet [as they had yet to prepare their food]. During this situation, Seolhyun accidentally dropped the egg and Park Myung Soo, as if to just lightly scold her, touched her head. He didn't hit her, and they only grew closer with the filming. As he is playing her 'uncle', Park Myung Soo was just naturally playing out his role. We hope that viewers will not misunderstand because of this short preview."
