When asked if he realizes his popularity due to the success of his character Dahl Bong on 'What's With This Family', Hyungsik shared, "I definitely feel it when I go to restaurants. When the server is handing out side dishes, she'd glance at me and say with skinship, 'Oh! Aigoo. I'm watching you so well.'"

When asked, "Do you normally have a lot of aegyo and jealousy [like your character]?", Hyungsik shared, "I don't get jealous, but I do have some aegyo." When asked what his members think of his and Siwan's acting, he shared, "I don't think the members have acknowledged me [as an actor] yet. It's like they think, 'If it's on your level, I can do it too.'" When asked what he's better at than his acting rival Siwan, Hyungsik shared, "My chemistry with my female co-star."

When asked which member he'd like to enlist with, Hyungsik shared, "I'm really curious about whether or not Kwanghee would he be able to handle the training. He's probably make a deal with the higher-ups, and say that it's difficult and ask to take this and that out."
