The group debuted on November 6, 2005 with "Twins (Knock Out)" on SBS's 'Inkigayo'. Initially, the boys were only a project, which was why their debut album was titled 'Super Junior '05'. There were supposed to be more Super Juniors as time passed, but when fans learned this, there was enough protest and enough support for the members that Super Junior ultimately became a permanent group... and now they've made a unique name for themselves.
Leader Leeteuk posted the above photo onto his Instagram and
Eunhyuk also took to Instagram and wrote, "Super Junior... 9 years... The most special meeting in my life. Members, and ELF, let's last a long, long time. I hope it's like that..." He added, "Ah, why am I crying... No matter what we say, we're always thirsty, and we have a lot of things we want to do and accomplish... ELF, let's make it happen together. There are a lot of things that seem hard or impossible, but we've made them happen before. I'm getting drunk. Let's have strength, and I love all of you."
Fans also started trending #9YearsWithSuperJunior on Twitter. Congratulations to both Super Junior and ELF!
