PD Kang Bong Kyu told Newsen in a recent interview, "There are probably a lot of people who think that Lee Hwi Jae is fussy, but he isn't like that... Lee Hwi Jae doesn't take care of me much. He's never treated me to a meal or anything like that. However, he takes care of each and every one of the maknae staff. Even though he might get mad at me, saying, 'This isn't how it's supposed to be,' he greets the maknae staff with a smile on his face. I really saw him in a different light. I respect that side of Lee Hwi Jae."

He added, "Lee Hwi Jae has been doing variety shows for a long time, so there are difficult things and a lot of things that he's comfortable with. If the producers request something, he understands why they're asking that of him. I'm thankful for that."
