Accepting U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki Moon's invitation, President Park made her debut on the U.N. stage and spoke to the C40 Large Cities Climate Summit. During this meeting, President Park discussed holding a future C40 Large Cities Climate Summit meeting at South Korea's Blue House in the year 2020. She also talked about how Korea is developing its economy by creating new businesses and discussed topics on systems that can help bridge advanced and developing countries. President Park also had the honor of giving the keynote address, which is a speech that establishes the framework and themes of the meeting.
President Park also attended a closed-banquet with Secretary-General Ban and World Bank President Jim Yong Kim to discuss global issues regarding North Korea, world epidemics, and ISIS.
