"Even if I get hate from Shinhwa fans, I'll say what I have to," Kim Tae Woo had said. "They weren't a match for us. If we take the Jamsil Stadium as 100%, Shinhwa fans were about 30%, we were 60%, and the remaining 10% were fans of everyone else."
This comment naturally garnered hurt feelings from the Shinhwa fans, who flocked online to complain about Kim Tae Woo's rude statements.
The following day, Kim Tae Woo apologized for his actions. "Since I don't really keep track of online comments, I didn't know it had gotten this big until now," he posted on Twitter. "The broadcast had an atmosphere of pitting g.o.d and Shinhwa against each other, so I said something I shouldn't have to make things fun. We were so close, I didn't think before I spoke."
"But seeing things from the opposite point of view, I realized that not only Shinhwa fans but Shinhwa themselves wouldn't feel good about what I said. I called Minwoo earlier and apologized in person. I debated on how to apologize to Shinhwa Changjo, and I'm now posting this. I sincerely apologize for my rude comments," he said.
"Reading your posts, I reflected deeply," he continued. "I hope you will not think that I was sincere in making those comments. Shinhwa and g.o.d were so close with each other and the fans supported each other as well, so I am worried that my few words will separate them and make things uncomfortable. I sincerely apologize once again, and I don't know how many Shinhwa Changjo this message will reach but I hope that my sincerity comes through.

That wasn't all, however. "Also, I apologize to the g.o.d fans. I forgot that each member's statements and actions can affect the entire team," he said. "I realized that this incident will cause hurt for Shinhwa, Shinhwa Changjo, g.o.d and g.o.d fans. I hope this will not grow any further. I will take care with what I say on broadcast from now on. This has caused me to think hard on what a fandom is. Thank you for caring for me and loving me like one of your own."
"g.o.d fans, this is indubitably my fault, which is why I am writing this," he finished. "Please don't hate on the Shinhwa fans. Imagine how you would feel if the tables were turned. So please do not say anything that could hurt the Shinhwa fans. I urge you from my heart. Thank you to fans from both sides and I love you."
That was one of the longest apologies we've ever translated! Which side are you on?
