Seo Taiji, who will be making his big return to the Korean music scene in October, will also be taking part in a special collaboration project with the nation's little sister, IU!
The Seo Taiji Company revealed on September 29, "While Seo Taiji was formulating his ninth album, he planned a collaboration 'Sogyeokdong Project' that will take on a new form of two songs and two MVs that solve two secret stories like puzzles through the theme, 'The sad and beautiful story that took place in Sogyeokdong in the 80s as seen from the perspective of a woman and the perspective of a man.'" It appears there will be a male version and female version of the story that will be depicted in this collaboration.

"We immediately thought of IU, who has been appraised as the junior female singer with the best singing ability, as the female singer who could best express the song called 'Sogyeokdong,'" the company continued. "We requested she worked with us because we wondered how it would be if she sang the song with her charming voice. She made the charms of the song shine even more than we expected, so we are extremely happy."
IU's version will be the first to be revealed on October 2. Afterwards, Seo Taiji's version will be released on October 10. These will be the pre-releases before Seo Taiji makes his return with ninth album, 'Quiet Night,' on October 20!
