Singer Goo Ja Myung has quietly started his mandatory military service.
On July 31, Goo Ja Myung entered Nonsan District army training center in Chungnam Province to spend five weeks training before serving as a public service soldier. His label Boohwal Entertainment stated, "Goo Ja Myung did not make a sudden decision to enlist, but enlisted because all Korean men must serve. He will serve dutifully and use the time to reflect on himself and his past actions. After his discharge, he plans to continue as a singer."
This past May, Goo Ja Myung made headlines for drinking and driving and left the cast of 'Our Neighborhood Arts and Physical Education' shortly afterwards. He hasn't participated in any promotions or activities since then.
Good luck to Goo Ja Myung!
