The drama's staff revealed, "While filming an action scene in the early morning on the 9th, Lee Seung Gi hurt his eye with a fake knife prop and was sent to the emergency room."
A prop knife struck Lee Seung Gi's left eye in the morning of the 9th, and he suffered corneal damage and intraocular hemorrhage. As he was in extreme pain, the actor was rushed to the emergency hospital, where he was treated for bleeding in the eye. Though he wanted to return to filming, Lee Seung Gi was recommended by doctors to take a rest.
Lee Seung Gi shared, "Due to the sudden accident, I had no choice but to halt filming and I feel sad about it... I will do my best so that 'You're Surrounded' can go on with its broadcast even just a day sooner. I want to tell the viewers that I'm sorry."
The drama's staff have decided to cancel Wednesday's broadcast and air a special instead, while episode 10 will be pushed back to Thursday, the 12th.
Let's hope Lee Seung Gi recovers soon!
