On the June 7th broadcast of KBS 2TV's 'Entertainment Relay', Kang Ha Neul revealed Kim So Eun to be a long-time friend, "We've been getting along as close friends for the past five years so we didn't need to try to match each other and practice, and just told each other, 'Let's do it this and that way', and do things like that." When told that friends can become lovers, he shared, "That can happen, but I wasn't able to do that with So Eun. Because we first got close to each other as friends."
When told that Kim So Eun's ideal type is actor Won Bin, Kang Ha Neul said to the camera, "So Eun ah, dream on [come back to reality]!"
He also revealed his humble attitude towards starring on 'Heirs', "What I remember about 'Heirs' is that when I first attended the script reading, I thought a lot about why I'm here. The Lee Min Ho and Kim Woo Bin who I saw on TV was sitting there and I wondered if I'm even allowed to be here a lot. I asked myself why the writer chose me out of all of the handsome actors and thought that among pretty flowers, wild flowers can also stand out."
