As Taeyang's first album since 'Solar' four years ago, Yang Hyung Suk wrote on the YG-Life blog that 'RISE' is indeed a full-length album with 9 tracks. Taeyang recorded 20 songs for his solo album, but less than half were chosen as the best. All 9 songs on the album were considered for the title track as well, but YG and Taeyang decided to go with "Eyes, Nose, Lips" ("Eyes, Nose, Mouth") for the first round of promotions.
Yang Hyun Suk stated, "The reason why 'Eyes, Nose, Lips' was chosen as the title song is because when Taeyang sang the first verse in the recording studio, it was very powerful and made me feel like all the plans that we've made in the past several years just collapsed." It's also the first time in 11 years since Big Mama's "Break Away" that the YG CEO actually shared ideas for an MV with an artist.
Fans can also look forward to three music videos for "Eyes, Nose, Lips" (to be released on June 2 at 12AM KST) as well as MVs for "1AM" (June 10 at 1AM) and "Body" (mid-June). The previously revealed image states there will also be a private event, 'RISE: PREMIERE', on June 2, the same day his album is released digitally. 'RISE' will be available off-line starting on June 10.
