Akdong Musician express their disbelief about their music show wins

Akdong Musician met up with a reporter backstage at Mnet's 'M! Countdown' on May 8 to talk about their success so far.

The siblings said, "We're grateful that we are loved more than was expected. When we heard that we won #1, we wondered, 'What's this about?' 'Is this really our work?' and looked up articles to confirm it was really us."

Their title track "200%" has been doing incredibly well, even ranking first on 'Music Bank' and 'Inkigayo' for three weeks, and more!

Lee Chan Hyuk said, "I didn't expect it, but we ranked first for a long time. The results aside, I was just grateful for the chance to release an album. After winning the tremendous award of a 'Triple Crown', I became aware of the huge amount of love we were receiving and thought we should work harder."

The duo previously topped the music charts with an original composition during 'K-Pop Star 2'. Lee Soo Hyun said, "At that time, we didn't even know we were at #1, but when we happened to see 'Crescendo' at first place, we were like, 'Is that really ours?' and 'What do we do?' Now we get to see it real-time."

Lee Chan Hyuk added, "Now that we've released an album, I found parts of it I wanted to change. I thought that I could have sung better and put more emotion into it. I learned a lot. There are a lot of things I want to try. 'Melted' was the first step and now I will try to gradually expand."
