After news broke yesterday claiming that After School's Jooyeon was in a relationship with actor So Ji Sub, Pledis Entertainment released an official statement denying all rumors that they were a couple.
"After checking with Jooyeon, the dating rumors are unfounded," they said in a press release. "They are only close friends with a junior-senior relationship."
"Jooyeon heard the news when she was preparing to return to Korea after a concert in China. She was also very surprised by the sudden reports, but she was in a situation where she couldn't respond quickly which led to this delay in releasing our statement," Pledis explained.
So Ji Sub's agency has also denied the rumors of a relationship between the two celebrities, claiming that they are merely friends.
