MBC's variety program 'Dad, Where Are You Going', which has risen as one of the stand out variety shows this year, revealed that they will be wrapping up season 1 with the last filming already completed.
The news came suddenly when Lee Jong Hyuk said during his appearance on the latest airing of SBS's 'Cultwo Show', "We wrapped up the first season of 'Dad, Where Are You Going'. I never thought we could go for this long. I took part in it thinking that the videos would remain even if the ratings were not good."
It's said that the cast we have come to know and grow fond of participated in their last trip to Jeju Island on December 14-15, and the episodes for this trip are expected to broadcast in the coming weeks to conclude off the season.
A rep from MBC told Newsen on December 17, "The premiere date for the second season of 'Dad, Where Are You Going' has not been determined as of yet, but it is expected to be in the middle of January. We are in the middle of casting members for the second season."
It's said that those from season 1 who wish to stay on have been given offers to continue, but it doesn't seem likely that we'll be seeing the exact same cast continue on with season 2. It's not known whether we'll be seeing a mix of new and old cast members, or if the show will kick off with completely new members, so stay tuned for updates!
