Yoo Hee Yeol brought up a question that's probably on a lot of people's minds by asking what her name means. NC.A explained, "It stands for, New Creative Artist." NC.A also shared how she ended up pursing a singing career, "When I was in my 3rd year of middle school, I would take videos by myself and upload demos. My agency saw those videos and contacted me... At first, I wanted to focus on my studies for high school, so I rejected it. But my mother went to Yurisangja sunbaenim's concert, and she told me that it would be very nice if I could sing with artists like them one day and persuaded me so I decided [to pursue a singing career.]"
On life as a new singer on the scene, she commented, "Greetings are very important. As I promoted, I was told to greet [my sunbaenims] until I can't see the back of their heads and they leave whenever I greet someone. I was also told that if I see two people, I should greet them two times instead of just once. My promotions fell on the same time as EXO's. I would greet them saying, 'Hello, I'm NC.A,' 12 times."
