The group had been under fire for copying the Japanese girl group Momoiro Clover Z, and now there's yet another stance that Crayon Pop copied once again from the group for their Christmas song. A member of Momoiro Clover Z is pictured above at left, while the Crayon Pop girls are on the right.

Chrome Entertainment said, "There is an iconic image that the Christmas tree has. So all outfits that imitate the Christmas tree have to follow that iconic image. The various ornaments and the star on the top of the tree is something on everybody's Christmas tree when they think of one. Crayon Pop has been through various hardships starting with their streetside performances, and they've finally got a lot of people's love and interest. There's no reason for us to do noise marketing by harming Crayon Pop's image at this important time. It'd just be poisonous."
They also added that the girls wouldn't be promoting in the Christmas tree outfits, but that they'll continue on with the helmet concept!
