Actor Jung Suk Won, who is also Baek Ji Young's husband, has recently found himself making headlines after rumors surfaced that suggested that he has cut off all contact with his agency and also failed to show up for his filming for the movie 'Battle of Yeonpyeong.'
It seems the rumors have come about as the actor and his agency are currently facing issues with the actor requesting for his contract to be terminated before the contract's expiration. Unwilling to let him go as there is still 3 years and 8 months left in the contract term, Forestar Entertainment has asked the CEMA (Corea Entertainment Management Association) to step in to help mediate between the two and suggest a solution that would appease both parties.
With the rumors arising from this issue suggesting that the actor had one-sidedly cut off all contact and was refusing to show up for filming, Jung Suk Won spoke through reps on his side of the situation to reveal, "It is not true that Jung Suk Won stopped communicating with his agency Forestar Entertainment and halted all activities... It is true that he sent a certification of contents in relation to his contract. In regards to that, he was waiting for his agency to contact him so they could reach a resolution, but he hasn't received one phone call yet."
"It is the same with the movie 'Battle of Yeonpyeong'. Filming kept being delayed due to a series of events, such as changes in staff. Jung Suk Won was merely waiting. It is not true that he left the movie set."
A staff member from the movie also confirmed, "'Battle of Yeonpyeong' is currently taking a break from filming to raise the completion level of the movie by working with the scenario more... So it makes no sense to say that Jung Suk Won didn't show up for filming when we haven't even resumed filming yet... Jung Suk Won has always tries to do his best when filming, so rumors that he didn't show up is completely untrue. We hope that he will resolve the conflict with his agency peacefully."
