When asked to confirm, JF Entertainment vaguely stated, "Go Young Wook is no longer a celebrity under our agency... We can't recall the exact time that we parted ways." His profile is also no longer listed on their homepage.

An entertainment insider stated regarding the matter, "I am aware that Go Young Wook signed a three-year contract with the agency back in December 2010. JF Entertainment said they would not renew his contract after it expires, but in reality it seems that Go Young Wook was kicked out before his contract's expiration."

Go Young Wook is currently in the process of waiting for the Supreme Court's ruling after appealing the latest sentence he has received on the sexual assault case.
