SBS has lost their lawsuit against 'SNL Korea'.
SBS sued CJ E&M, claiming that 'SNL Korea' had plagiarized the concept for SBS' 'Couple' in one of their skits. However, SBS lost the lawsuit where they demanded 150,000,000 KRW (approximately $137,000) from CJ E&M.
The court said, "The item that CJ E&M imitated is something used commonly by various broadcasts, and is a method of parody used by other broadcast stations. It's hard to say this violates the order of fair competition. There is no direct competition between the two videos, so it is not unfair."
