Fans had mixed responses when it was announced that the popular MBC variety show 'Dad, Where Are You Going?' had been turned into a comic book, but that wasn't the only issue raised as it has also been revealed that the book had been printed without prior consent from the cast and crew of the show. Due to this negligence, MBC C&I has decided to withdraw the comic book altogether.

An MBC C&I representative stated, "Prior to publishing the comic book version of 'Dad, Where Are You Going?, we were supposed to obtain the cast's consent for their portrait rights. But due to a business mistake, it was published without a discussion. We were also supposed to talk with the production crew of 'Dad, Where Are You Going?' about the creation of a comic book prior, but a problem with the supervision of the book production occurred."
"We accepted the staff's request and we decided to withdraw the comic book remake of 'Dad, Where Are You Going?'. When we first published the comic book, we didn't do it with a commercial intent but we started it with the intent for it to serve as an educational opportunity. But contrary to our intentions, a problem occurred due to our business mistake so we are sorry."
"We apologize to the cast for any damage we unintentionally caused and to the viewers who were in a state of confusion. From now on, we will discuss such potential actions with the staff members."
