Why is 'Dad Where Are You Going's Yoon Hoo proud of his dad?

The show recently traveled to stay at a temple, and in the upcoming episode, you'll get to hear more honest thoughts from the children as they open up about their fathers.

While spending time with the monk there, the children started to talk about why they're proud of their fathers. The 6 year old (8 in Korean age) Yoon Hoo proudly bragged, "My dad will secretly let me do things I want to do without my mom knowing," and not to be outdone, the others started to chime in with their own reasons of why their dad is the best.�

Yoon Hoo's remark is especially significant, as devoted viewers of the show should know, for Hoo didn't always have a great relationship with his dad. He used to be actually very attached to his mom, whom he fondly calls 'NeeNee'. So, for him to now even brag to the other kids about why he thinks his father is so awesome, shows just how close this show has brought the two together.
