Despite making a long-awaited comeback a few months ago, 'nation's MC' Kang Ho Dong has encountered some rough waters recently, with most of his programs suffering in the ratings battle - including his most recent variety show, 'Barefoot Friends'.
However, he continued to maintain a positive outlook on the situation. On the latest episode of the outdoor variety show, he labeled his misfortune as not a setback, but an opportunity.
"The phrase 'Kang Ho Dong in trouble' comes up often in articles, and that word often does bring me down," he said. "But I don't think it's a problem; it's a difference in how you approach it. The process is more important than the final result, and I've come to realize the happiness that comes from simply broadcasting. It's a completely new beginning."
Despite his rosy words, broadcast stations aren't likely to share his optimistic views; 'Barefoot Friends', in particular, has been struggling against competition in its timeslot. Hopefully the show garners more viewers soon, so the 'nation's MC' can finally be at ease!
