Unfortunately not. Despite the finale, 'God of the Workplace' was unable to overcome the leading drama of the Monday-Tuesday drama time slot - 'Book of the House of Gu'.
According to AGB Nielsen Media Research, the May 21st broadcast of 'Book of the House of Gu' achieved a 15.9% viewer rating, which is a 1.1% increase from its previous viewer rating of 14.8%. Meanwhile, the finale of KBS 2TV's 'God of the Workplace' did manage to catch up quite a bit in the last few weeks, but came short of topping its competitor with a 14.2% viewer rating.
SBS' 'Jang Ok Jung' was still unable to reach the double-digit zone in the ratings department, but it's getting closer with a 9.2% rating this week.
KBS 2TV will be airing their highly anticipated drama 'Shark' starring Kim Nam Gil and Son Ye Jin next week, so let's wait and see if it gives 'Book of the House of Gu' a run for its money!
