Kangta confesses he can't help but see BoA as a rival

Kangta revealed that he couldn't help but see BoA as a rival.

It's no surprise, as both of them are amazing singers, SM Entertainment veterans, and appear on music audition shows. At a May 17 press conference for Mnet's 'Voice Korea 2', Kangta revealed, "It'd be a lie if I said I didn't see her as a rival. But usually I just support her and make her feel better."

Kangta is a coach on 'Voice Korea 2', and BoA is a judge on 'K-Pop Star'. Of course,�'K-Pop Star 2' recently wrapped up its season and isn't going head to head with 'Voice Korea 2' but the two appear on their respective programs for different reasons. Kangta said, "We have a rivalry, but the formation is completely different. BoA is on her program to represent SM along with Yang Hyun Suk who represents YG and J.Y. Park who represents JYP. It's obvious she's going to be burdened. But I don't have that much pressure on myself compared to her."

He continued, "She receives enough stress and pressure as it is, so we don't say much. She's doing so well, so I just support and try to make her feel better. I feel proud when I see her carrying such a big weight even though she's my hoobae."
