Actor Ryu Shi Won has been indicted for illegally tracking his wife by means of a GPS tracker, as well as getting violent and assaulting her.
The actor is currently under the suspicion of attaching a GPS tracker to trace his wife Ms. Cho (29)'s whereabouts for 8 months. It is said the tracker was attached when her car was in an auto repair shop back in May 2011.
In August of the same year, Ms. Cho discovered the GPS tracker and when she requested that her husband remove the device, Ryu Shi Won allegedly became angry and reportedly threatened her stating, "Do you find me laughable. You will die by my hands," and slapped his wife's face multiple times. He is also said to have added, "I know a lot of scoundrels. I can get photos taken of you capturing what you are doing and where you're going. I am not a person to mess with." Ryu Shi Won was also found to have secretly installed a tracking application on his wife's cell phone to keep track of her every move.
In response to all this, the actor posted on his Facebook, "I know that there are times when the truth is unfairly buried, but this is just not right... Let's take this until the end. For the truth," revealing his determination to fight this out in the courts.
Ryu Shi Won and Ms. Cho tied the knot in 2010 and filed for divorce in March 2012. Ms. Cho then filed a complaint to the police against her husband for threats and assault against her this past February. The two are in the midst of a lawsuit as they weren't able to work out a divorce settlement.
