Akdong Musician explained why they decided to temporarily go back home to Mongolia.

When the duo announced their decision, many fans had been disappointed and hoped they would be seeing the duo again soon. The pair explained their decision while guesting on Boom's SBS Power FM 'Young Street' radio.

When asked about their decision, Lee Soo Hyun answered, "Both my brother and I exhausted a lot of energy. We want to rest, and it's been over a year since we were home, so we want to go visit home." She also added, "We're going to be riding horses and eating Mongolian food."

Earlier, their father Lee Sung Geun revealed, "I plan to return with my children to Mongolia on the 20th. There is no special reason for the leave. I think my children need a break because they have become very exhausted due to their hectic broadcast schedule."

The talented young artists followed their missionary parents to Mongolia where they moved to from South Korea two years ago.

Hopefully, we can see them again soon after some rest making their decision on which label to join.
