The CEO of Open World Entertainment will not have a lawyer from a big law firm for his upcoming hearing at the Supreme Court.
The CEO had been sentenced to 6 years in prison while under trial for his sexual assault case against trainees. He has been attempting to get his sentence reduced by appealing, but his last appeal was rejected by the lower courts last month. He is now taking it to the Supreme Court with his petition for appeal.
It's been reported that his petition has been processed recently, but what's interesting is that rather than the big time law firms he had used to fight the case previously, he has opted to go with a public defender instead for his hearing at the Supreme Court; and thereby raising questions as to why he has decided to do so.
His Supreme Court hearing date has not yet been scheduled.
