Lee Hyori responded to the paparazzi snapping photos of her and boyfriend Lee Sang Soon at the airport as she prepared to travel to America.

On December 21st she wrote, "Oh my, Dispetch [sic], you're still showing interest in our couple..^^ I guess I should have dressed a little nicer~ It's really cold in Seoul, right? I'm sorry that I came somewhere warm by myself~ I'll meet a lot of good people and calm myself before I go back~".

She also added, "For those who haven't seen the article, heh", and linked to the article. Her sarcastic tone along with her usual disdain for the paparazzi and the press sent a clear message that she was not amused with the situation. However, the newspaper responded almost immediately when the CEO tweeted, writing just as sarcastically, "Oh, it's Dispatch. You made a typo."

Netizens seemed to be on both sides of the matter. Some thought that Lee Hyori had a point that the press shouldn't be following her around everywhere. However, others pointed out that the newspaper team had not followed her to the airport, but has a team stationed at the airport at all times. Not only so, the paparazzi did not follow her too closely and kept their distance, respecting her personal space. Some others also believed that as a celebrity, this kind of interest is simply impossible to shake off.
