Comedian Kim Kyung Min and his family have been going through a rough patch ever since Chuseok, having been swept up in false reports about assaulting his wife.

As reported previously, reports surfaced stating that the comedian and his wife got into a fight on their way home and the comedian hit and even strangled his wife, leading to his arrest. However, the couple stepped up to deny the reports and decided to sue the press for reporting false information. They stated that they had been arguing over what to eat and the comedian, out of anger, had cursed at his wife. His wife had then called the police to teach her husband a lesson.

The comedian has now announced that he has withdrawn his plans of filing lawsuits against the media, stating, "This all occurred due to my own mistakes. After much thought, I decided to solve the problems I created myself and in the process have canceled all the lawsuits."

"I realized the more I expressed my anger and the more grudges I held on to, the person I was hurting the most was myself. So after discussion with my wife, we have decided to cancel all plans of filing lawsuits," he said.

The comedian went on to reveal the reasons behind the change by explaining that before everything, the health of his family comes first. After seeing his wife suffer reading the hate comments and himself becoming overwhelmed with stress, the comedian decided it was not wise to continue on by engaging in more fights.

He concluded, "I'm actually quite embarrassed. I screamed at my wife over such a petty thing as where we were going to eat and ended up being investigated by the police over that..., and ended up giving bad news to the public during the Chuseok holiday. What kind of shame is this? And to top it off, instead of realizing my own mistakes, I held a press conference and kept repeating that I was angry and asked how they could do this. Before I started blaming the media, I should have self reflected..."
