Welcome to another week of 'allkpop TV guide and Ratings', an exclusive feature that spotlights three popular Korean dramas. It will discuss ratings for each week's episodes, as well as provide brief recaps (with spoilers, so watch out!) of shows that we know allkpop readers are enjoying. We've got the three regular shows being recapped for this week � 'Deep-Rooted Tree' (starring Shin Se Kyung, Jang Hyuk, and Super Junior's Kim Kibum) and 'Man of Honor' (starring Park Min Young and Chun Jung Myung), as well as tvN's romantic comedy, 'Flower Boy Ramyun Shop' (starring Jung Il Woo, Lee Chung Ah, and Lee Ki Woo). [Note: We will not be including 'Flower Boy Ramyun Shop' in the ratings recap as it is a cable show and therefore has different standards for ratings.] ���� The Monday-Tuesday prime time slot saw SBS's 'Thousand Day Promise' fall back while KBS's medical drama 'Brain' make big leaps to close the gap between them. 'Brain' was able to record a 12.6% in ratings, but 'Thousand Day Promise' managed to hold onto its 1st place spot with its 15.3%. Meanwhile, MBC's 'Light and Shadow' remained in last place with a rating of 9%. But this throwback-inspired drama likely won't likely stay in the single digits for long, as 'Thousand Day Promise' ends it broadcast next week. SBS's historical mystery drama, 'Deep-Rooted Tree', nears its finale this week, which will mean that many of its plot threads will finally be weaved into a comprehensive tapestry. For this week, the drama reached 21.9%. KBS's 'Man of Honor' is also nearing its finale as it keeps a respectable rating of 14.6%. Unfortunately, MBC's 'I'm a Flower, Too' hardly seems to have budged, as it remains in last place with a 6.3%. ���� [ Here be spoilers ]       !!!!! ���� ? Flower Boy Ramyun Shop (tvN)       Official Synopsis: Yang Eun Bi (Lee Chung Ah) is a university student preparing for her civil service exam with the dream of becoming a high school teacher. She accidentally runs into Cha Chi Soo (Jung Il Woo), the arrogant son of the biggest food conglomerate in Korea. Both of them end up working at a ramyun shop run by the lazy Choi Kang Hyuk (Lee Ki Woo). This romantic comedy deals with "pretty boys," who with good looks and individuality, operate a ramyun shop that attracts lively college girls, which makes their joint adventure into life just that much more interesting. - Recap of Ep. 13-14: Chi Soo's father begins to interfere in Chi Soo's love life, and reminds him of the impossibility of getting together with an older teacher. Chi Soo, however, attempts to transcend these obstacles and sticks by Eun Bi's side, showing her his sincerity. Eun Bi, being confused over Chi Soo and Kang Hyuk, plans on dating both to see who fits her best. Meanwhile, Ki Woo butts head with Chi Soo's father as viewers learned that Chi Soo and Ki Woo are actually half-brothers, as they both share the same mom. While Chi Soo's father plans to build a snack shop near the ramyun shop, he offers Ki Woo a bargain involving Chi Soo... �� ? Deep-Rooted Tree (SBS)       Official Synopsis: A series of murder casts a shadow over the reign of King Sejong (Han Suk Kyu). As Kang Chae Yoon (Jang Hyuk) investigates these cases to get closer to the root of the matter, he finds himself embroiled in a massive conspiracy behind the serial killings. The conspiracy involves a group of geniuses who are willing to risk their lives towards their cause, and exert secret influence to interfere with the course of Kang Chae Yoon's investigations. Recap of Ep. 21-22: So Yi (Shin Se Kyung) follows King Sejong's directions to spread the Korean language amongst the people, but the ministers attempt to interfere in the creation of this new language. Meanwhile, a dispute occurs in the Hidden Roots as Lee Shin Juk (Ahn Suk Hwan) wants to replace Ga Ri On (Yoon Je Moon) as the leader. �- ? Man of Honor (KBS)       Official Synopsis: Yoon Jae In (Park Min Young) is a struggling young woman who dreams of becoming a nurse. She meets Kim Young Kwang (Chun Jung Myun) at the hospital after he sustained injuries. Kim Young Kwang is a baseball player who used to be hotshot hitter but got demoted to a lower rank. As they struggle to overcome their fates, the two draw closer to one another and find love. Recap of Ep. 19-20: Jae In takes the path of revenge as she sheds her innocent image to get even with In Woo's father for her own father's death. As Jae In plans to have In Woo's family return all her monetary deeds, she uses In Woo to only taunt his father more.
