On September 17th, producer Ryan Jhun made a controversial series of tweets regarding girl group KARA and their new album, "Step". Having produced U-KISS's lead track, "Neverland", he felt that the group was being swept aside for KARA's comeback, and thus took to his Twitter to express his distraught feelings. The outburst caused KARA and U-KISS fans to clash, and a wave of complaints soon rose up against the producer. Jhun reached out to allkpop and asked us to post his official letter of apology. He felt that the character limits on Twitter wouldn't allow him to express his apology in full, and so he gave allkpop an exclusive copy of his letter to KISSMEs and Kamilias. The letter read,
Dear Fans, Management, and Artists, I would like to respond for the incident that occurred yesterday on Twitter. With the deepest regret, I would like to apologize for my behavior and remarks towards the Twitter members involved. I would like to also sincerely apologize to not only KARA and their fans, but also to U-KISS, their management and their fans. My behavior was extremely inappropriate, immature, and lacked the respect that everyone deserved. After reflecting on my actions, I realized that I let my emotions get the best of me. I allowed myself to become emotionally involved in conversations of an anti-fan nature, and subsequently got improperly defensive. In the future, I have every intention of curbing my thoughtless actions and learn to adjust my behavior befitting of the environment and situation. Again, I am sorry for my actions and I hope that we can put this matter behind us. I look forward to all that KARA and U-KISS have in store for the future, and will support them with my whole heart in the future. Sincerely, Ryan S. JhunRyan wishes to put these days behind him, and hopes that fans, artists and management will all forgive him for his recent behavior. We're glad Ryan sent this in and we look forward to hearing more good music from Marcan Entertainment.
