On August 30th, the Seoul Central District Court revealed that rapper Crown J submitted a taped conversation between his former manager Seo (31) and his agency's CEO as proof of his innocence. In the recording, Seo claims that he was never assaulted by Crown J. The star's legal representatives also submitted a picture of the cafe that Seo had claimed he was assaulted in. Considering the fact that the cafe was in an open area, Crown J's representatives argued that it would have been impossible for a public figure to commit such an act in broad daylight. Representatives of Crown J explained, "We have submitted a taped conversation between Seo and the agency. The recording contains content of Seo claiming that he was never hit. As for the marijuana incident, if it was truly Crown J's fault, we would admit to it. However, because Seo's side is making up the entire story, we are the ones having to deal with the consequences. In order to protect his honor, we decided to take this to court." They continued, "According to investigations, Seo did not even directly file a complaint to the police himself; it was submitted by those around him who only heard his side of the story. In effect, the police carried out a case by listening to people who weren't even directly involved with the situation. We're currently discussing with our legal team as to whether or not we will sue the police station in question." As reported earlier, Crown J was charged with assaulting his former manager back in June. Source + Photos: Star News via Naver
