The highly popular new drama 'Daemul' was faced with some humiliation recently, after viewers have been discovering various typo errors in broadcasted episodes.
In episode 3, Seo Hye Rim and her children were on their way to Brisbane, Australia, but were blocked by the Immigration Office at Incheon Airport, saying she did not fulfill enough hours of voluntary service.
However, when they took a close shot of the computer screen with Seo Hye Rim's passport information, instead of 'Brisbane International Airport', they mistakenly wrote it as 'Brisbane International Aitport'. Viewers also noticed that Seo Hye Rim's airplane ticket read 'October 17th, 2010', when the drama is meant to be situated during the year 2000.
Additionally, during a scene were Kang Tae San arrives at the HBS broadcasting station, banners of SBS dramas 'My Girlfriend is a Nine-tailed Fox' and 'I Am Legend' were spotted in the background.
Another typo mistake that was discovered in the pilot episode of 'Daemul' last week has also been garnering attention. In one of the scenes, a news report about a journalist getting kidnapped was shown, however, the captions underneath instead read, "Kidnapped Korean journalist killed".
An associate of the production team stated, "Viewers discovering subtle typo errors in trivial scenes reflect the great amount of interest the drama is receiving. From now on we will be more cautious of our work to increase the quality and completeness of the production."
Meanwhile, 'Daemul' has already nabbed a viewer rating of 26.4% after only 3 episodes, while KBS2's 'Fugitive' only raked in a viewer rating of 15.1%, showing a difference of 11.3%.
