It has been reported that after staying in the Philipines for roughly 19 days, Shin Jung Hwan has finally left the country with his girlfriend on the 13th at 9PM, but instead of returning back to Korea, he flew to Hong Kong and Macau. During an interview with one of Shin Jung Hwan's biggest creditors named A-ssi, he said, "On the night of the 13th he left for Hong Kong. I heard he is with his girlfriend. I was doubtful so I checked with Cebu Airport and his departure was confirmed. He is no longer in Cebu." Shin Jung Hwan's Hong Kong trip was advised by the creditors in the casino in Cebu. One casino associate said, "All the casino businessmen advised him to seek help from a 3rd country. Shin Jung Hwan caused a great blow to the business in Cebu." Even though with the gambling debts Shin Jung Hwan has in Cebu, it would have been difficult for him to leave the country, but A-ssi confirmed that they both made a mutual agreement which allowed Shin Jung Hwan to depart to Hong Kong. A-ssi said, "Shin Jung Hwan is a celebrity. He has a name, so don't you think he'd be able to pay the money back? Shin Jung Hwan has not yet paid the money he's borrowed. However the creditors here made a judgement that it is better to quietly leave the country instead of making a greater problem by staying here (in Cebu)." In regards to why Shin Jung Hwan chose Hong Kong over Korea, a close friend said, "Even if he returns to Korea, all that is waiting for him is a criminal investigation. He said he wants to return after time has passed and when less people are interested." A-ssi stated, "Shin Jung Hwan is being taken care of in Macau. Since he visits Macau frequently, he has many close friends there." It was reported that 2 sunbaes of Shin Jung Hwan went to find him in Cebu on the 27th and introduced him to A-ssi. Shin Jung Hwan has been borrowing money from A-ssi in bulks of 10 million Won ($8000-18,000 USD). A-ssi stated that he has borrowed 80 million Won so far but according to sources, Shin Jung Hwan is in debt by 200 million Won ($170,000 USD).
