Jang Yoon Jung's style change

Trot idol Jang Yoon Jung is coming back with a new version of her 5th album single Come or Olle. Jang Yoon Jung, who has recently collaborated with Uptown's Maniac, seems to be transitioning her image as a trot queen to a more K-pop feel. Jang Yoon Jung stated, "Trot is still seen as a genre for older people. If trot singers don't start making their music appeal for the younger crowd, the genre just might die." She further added, "Although there's fear and pressure, I feel as if trot doesn't show different sides and try different things, then there's no future for the genre." As an instrumental figure in spreading trot music to the younger crowd, Jang Yoon Jung seems to be at the head of the evolution of trot. Hopefully, her new single will be a success in the pop market.
