The 'Pop Princess of Asia', BoA, has finally made a comeback with the release of her 6th Korean album, Hurricane Venus. It's been 10 years since her debut, and she recently met with reporters to reflect on her career and discuss future activities. On her Twitter account: "Because I don't appear on variety programs, I don't have a lot of ways of meeting my fans other than through stage performances. I want to become closer with them, but it's not as easy as I thought. I began my Twitter account while preparing for my album. It was surprising to see the number of followers increase and I felt thankful that my agency friends helped promote it. I think I'm addicted to it, actually (laughter)." "I like being able to check their reactions through Twitter and letting them know my thoughts directly. Not only Twitter, but the world has advanced so much lately. It would've been nice if there were things like this when I first debuted..." On the growth of her image since her debut: "People still tend to think that I'm young, which I can of course understand. I'm celebrating my 10th anniversary, but I'm only 25 years old (laughter). Still, I'm not a little girl anymore. Naturally, I'm beginning to sing a lot of love songs and finding a connection with people closer to my age group." The subject of questions moved on to BoA's life outside of the stage. She answered them calmly and honestly, even revealing that she's been enjoying the atmosphere of get-togethers involving alcohol. She then began talking about her experience of moving back after living in a dorm for most of her overseas promotions. It was the little things, she mentioned wistfully, that she found happiness in - like fighting over the TV channels with her brothers or worrying about family members coming home late. BoA remained as professional as ever after revealing a sentimental side. She asserts that there are still a lot of things left for her to tackle in her career, despite the moments where she feels uncomfortable being a celebrity. She's definitely got a few challenges ahead of her, having been cast as the main female lead in the next Duane Adler led dance flick, rumored to be released early next year. BoA will also be appearing on the small screen through SBS's drama Athena, playing the role of Asia's top female singer. The interview was wrapped up with her plans for the next 10 years of her life: "I'll be 35 in 10 years. I'm thinking of opening a dinner show for my 30th anniversary. Would it be weird singing a ballad version of Girls on Top? And I forgot to mention, but my stamina has decreased after I got into my 20's. I think I need to start taking care of myself in order to continue performing on stage. I'll be able to do well, right?" Source: Sports Korea
